Been to Iceland on business. 23 hours of daylight. Brilliant country and the locals are pleasantly bonkers.
Beer is expensive though.
Looks an awesome trip and glad someone else has a Red MT.

Did you manage to take a dip in any of the thermal pools?

Wild camping or campsites? Overall cost of the trip? Look forward to part 2!

Looks great - some friends and I went to Iceland last year and did the whole of Route 1 - some of those pictures bring back memories. We did it the easy way though - we flew in and hired F650s and stayed in hostels which was bags of fun.
I would recommend it to anybody as it's a once-in-a-lifetime event and the place is so amazing it's like 10 different countries in one, from flat and straight roads of the glacial plains to the mountain passes, to the volcanic hillsides.

It's hard to describe without going off on one but the one thing i'd say is go there, you won't regret it!

( and yes - much lazing in volcanic pools )
