Well after all the banter and posts I read on the horror stories regarding starting mt 500,s,
I took the plunge and bought one and must say how unbelievable easy it is to start bring it up to compression and give it one or two kicks starts so easy,
I am really enjoying owning it,
Looking forward to meeting some owners at a event this year.

Welcome to the forum
I think the key is whether the carb has been set up correctly, also exactly which carb you have. The next factor is technique. Good maintenance makes a huge difference to reliability too.
Enjoy your MT
