my armstrong

Post by deadgrass. » Sun Jun 21, 2015 7:38 pm

been working on this for a while now, with the kerfuffle going on with the site of late I thought id re-post it up here.
I came across a registered Armstrong frame, I already had some parts removed from my other projects so the build began.
frame was altered to take a 604 eclectic start including battery compartment and provisions for front 350 panniers.

I decided to switch the colours round a bit, black frame, silver swing arm, green engine.[regular paint not heat paint so we shall see?].

got some nice stainless parts from George, along with ccm stainless footrests, full stainless exhaust, here it is as of today, its all up and running but it needs road testing and setting up still, runs lovely but as I'm using standard 350 airbox and exhaust [37mm kehin fcr carb] I need to road test.
tried to keep more true to the mt with this build, :D Dave. [ps don't have a 500 seat yet if anyone has one for sale let me know ta.]

sometimes your front legs need to be stiff and the fur on your arse vertical.

quick update, the standard airbox wont flow enough for the 604 engine and carb setup I have, even a modified airbox wont work [it would only rev out if I had airbox door off] so ccm 604 k&n on order, on the plus side the standard 350 stainless exhaust works fine, :D
