Raglan Bach Recomission
Raglan Bach Recomission
Evening all..
Some of you may remember the desert Military Police badged MT 350 at Stafford..
It had just been bought by Richard AKA Raglan Bach down under in NZ..
Geg is his brother in law and delivered the bike to Sportax HQ after Stafford for a bit of TLC prior to Richard and and his good lady arriving from NZ to tour Europe on the desert MP bike..
Here is the progress so far..
Its a proper birds nest of wires underneath!
Cam pulley was loose so wouldnt have got very far!

Re: Raglan Bach Recomission
A good thing Gary found that loose pulley
The plan so far
Once Gary has worked his magic on the bike and we arrive in the UK
We will remove the flashing light, aerial and the pannier rack. (If anybody wants them let me know)
Then fit a duel seat. Also will fit a pair of small army surplus cases to the sides and one on the back rack.
The following is the Proposed Route of our trip so far
(If anyone can advice on how to pay the road tolls or anything would be nice)
Proposed Route
Ferry from Hull to Rotterdam (Netherlands) Booked
Travel from Rotterdam to Mannheim (Germany) – stay the night
Travel from Mannheim to Chur (Switzerland) – stay 2 nights
Travel from Chur to Valle Verzasca (Switzerland) – stay one night in Sonogno
Travel from Sonogno to Lake Como (Italy) – stay one night (? 2) in Nesso
Plan from here to travel to Lake Garda ? stay a night ?2
then to Venice ? where best, maybe a week, maybe move around and find accommodation as we go
Then down the coast towards Rimmini
Maybe as far as Ancona (apparently has the best seafood in Italy?)
Then across land towards Tuscany, hopefully find a nice place to stay, ?
Up to Pisa ? Lucca
Genova
Torino
Valle D Aosta
Geneve
Dijon
then towards Calais for a ferry to Dover
Travel from Dover to Croyden – stay 2 nights
Travel from Croyden to Birmingham (Stourbridge) – stay 2 nights
Travel from Stourbridge to Wrexham

This is the bracket we will use to attach the army surplus case bought from DAS
The trapezium shape is plastic, The case will have more plastic attached to the back to slide onto this bracket
This plywood is cut to the size of the DAS case
The angle matches the front panniers

Its hard to tell from here. but it looks to me a lot of that birds nest is related to the alarm and tracker
