Ah. "Special" crank, 604 head, 32mm headers, new (non-standard) piston; I somehow just assumed that it had been bored and stroked.Minter wrote:It's only 490 cc now..!
It's nice to see it all coming together!

Re: Project MT500 Twinshock Motorcrosser
Looking good Gary,
Are you going to stick it on a dyno? would love to know how much BHP it's kicking out. Have you measured the compression?
Let us know how you do at weekend.

Re: Project MT500 Twinshock Motorcrosser
Is that the prototype for the pipe you're thinking of producing? Looks good

Re: Project MT500 Twinshock Motorcrosser
if it works well it will form the basis of the big bore system. There is a reason the headers are of different lengths.. Exhaust chap reckons its to help the exhaust pulses reach the collector at differnt times which help scavange the cylinder of exhaust gasses. It certainly responds well when blipping the throttle. This theory would not work well on multi cylinder engines... apparently!TBM wrote:Is that the prototype for the pipe you're thinking of producing? Looks good
Proof will be in the riding! If it works you may see it appear on my blue traily Armstrong and the Sportax shop!
