With about 20kg in a box its managable, been commuting the past week on it. Be it 2 mile there and back..
Still lifts up easily :o
Its all good fun :D

forgot to ask, what was the steering damper from that you fitted and has it made a difference if youv had the outfit off the bike?

The steering damper makes a big difference! can ride with one hand on the bars with no wobble atall. Its for a merc 190 and is popular for sidecars as is the vw beetle damper.
The damper is atached at the sidecar at the bottom so would be removed when I take the sidecar off.

thanks for that nick before i start on mine il have to try and get up to see yours, unless your due down south anytime soon that is! :P

I just noticed something... We have sidecars mounted to right side of bike. This gives more space when using kickstart :)
But this is fake pic, i just wanted to see how it looks...
I think with sidecar you get worse things of both car and bike :)

You have sidecars mounted on the wrong side of the bike, we have them on the right side. :lol:
We can use older bikes (pre 1970 something) with the side car on your side but I wouldn't fancy being a passenger in one sticking out into oncoming traffic. Interesting thread.
