Not for me I am afraid. I would rather do a big meet that's localised to one area. I can think of nothing worse than trogging it nearly 80miles to go to Stafford especially if it's raining. I commute three hours a day for work, I dot want to do it for fun!

I may come and do one or another but that's just not my idea of a meet.

Its worth saying the idea is to get everyone together for a weekend, somewhere central. If folks do not fancy Stafford thats fine, its an option not a three line whip. We will never find a location/venue/date that suits everyone. This is the plan at the moment.

A meet where we get together and have banter and a lash up is great. Stafford is great but it would need to be camping/glamping close by. The BMF at Peterborough would work as well with camping near by (I have plenty of options for that). Or maybe tagging onto the back of a war and peace type event.

Basically anything where we turn up and pitch up. Ideally one where I don't need to tow the bike to ride it on the road somewhere......

Stafford worked well because it had everything in one place to appeal to a wide audience. I like it because of the stalls and tool buying opportunities and then the club camp. Obviously we have lost that now but we should try and recreate something close to the atmosphere.

I really can't think of anything worse than the suggestion of riding all that way to Stafford......

If there is interest in doing it around the BMF time I am more than happy to help out with setting up a suitable camp locally. It does not even need to be connected to a big bike event, we could just have a club meet somewhere.

It's not necessarily the ride out that would be the problem but the time of year. One comment made is Stafford is too early in the season and can be cold and wet. Looking at members comments over the months from last year. This is rather "Left Field"

I have to agree with 'the squeaky wheel'.

I like the idea of an event. Turn up, look at something interesting for the day and then go on the lash with you lot. I'm going in my car, not taking the bike as we have Wye valley and Northampton for hooning around and lash up weekends.

We could probably locate a car boot for you, ya tight git.

Great comments, I am looking at venues. As far as the dates go.......this is the UK, we have had some years at Staffs and Uttoxetor where we have all come away with Sun burn.

Forget Stafford! The royal Shakespeare company will be performing Hamlet that weekend.
