Did a bit more work on the sidecar today.
Wraped the bar in old innertube and made a front cowl cover thingy :D
Also changed the chain and sprockets, it took a peice of wood through the wheel, mate standing on the rear brake, crank locking bolt in and me with a 3' bar to get the front sprocket nut off!

The front chequre plate thingy was a bit ambitious but after a bit of head scratching managed to get it to work and got it riveted.

great work on the chequer plate buddy.

Is it a standard mt rear wheel being used? my only concern is the sideways force on the swing arm. In particular youv got the slots cut in from what i can see i would put a second 3mm strip in side the box to stop the holes elongating or worse, pinching and snapping the spindle!

Cheers!
Its an old MZ wheel! Same wheel that was used with the sidecar before I had it, with no problems.
I think I will try and strengthen the swingarm as much as poss once its fitted etc.

Well its all done, ready for North Wales :D

Just fitted slightly longer shocks on the sidecar wheel to get the lean out on the bike right, also fitted a steering damper.

Heres a vid of me and my mate tom testing/practicing off road :D

Great vid, but didn't have the time to sit through it all. Please could the next viewer who sees the famous water section tell us the time of the event,
Cheers

Thanks Nick
I presume you're bringing the same monkey to N Wales? If so, you'll get a right old ear bashing. He'll need some of Roey's socks for sure, perhaps even a whole body suit   Tell him rain and Wales is just a myth- the last few times I've been there it was glorious
