Just one point:
i would suggest it's worth the struggle of using the 350 saddle as opposed to converting the 500 one ,
just my observation
From a club perspective, I always oppose this. There are limited 350 'saddles'/ 'engine shoes' out there, just one per frame, maybe a couple of spares BUT once they are gone, we will in the future be having frames but no shoes...Id much rather promote working with what you have. Just me looking long term thats all.[/quote]

Yes i never gave that much thought really Simon, but now it's come up you are right ,it would of been more conservationist to of converted the original engine carrier,
The wiring loom is the next nightmare to get my head around, i've inherited a few alterations i need to work out , and i'm gona do a few of my own ,
i'll keep you posted as progress continues

I hope you're not going to start feeling guilty about it. People will get around the lack of engine carriers "Inventions mum and all that".

Not everyone needs it anyway mate.

creeping forward slowly now , just got the battery in, i've moved the fuse box so it would fit, starting to tidy the loom up now, and will be in a position to test the electrics tomorrow, with any luck,, exhaust system on ,, off road stainless motad end can ,, if it's too loud i'll make up a baffle for it ,,
once i've tested the electrics i can mount the modified dash panel, i've moved the lights around to make room for the rev counter :D

Very nice, what are you doing for a speedo using the standard unit or electronic?
If moneys not an obstacle have you considered fitting an electronic fuseboard like the P|DM60 or the PC-8?
