Apologies to my lack of response on this thread.
I have in the words of Mr J Clarkson, " suddenly found myself unbusy". :(
I had a dispute in work over their code of practice, which has lead to the termination of my employment.
This came a week after booking my wedding to my long time suffering partner, so I now find myself having to pay for a wedding with little to no income.
I am desperately trying to find employment while doing agency work, so things are a bit turbo in my house at present.
Simon has some deep seated personal problems, that I have been trying to help out and lend support with, he is a proud and intimate person, who likes to show a strong facade.
Right now he needs support and understanding, as he is being wrung through the mill both financially, and emotionally.
I have known him for as long as I have been part of the MT riders group, and he has become a close and trusted friend, everything he has done has been selfless, without ulterior motive, and often without support.
I myself have been trying to help Simon when and where I can, but I fear it's not enough.
Can we cut Simon some slack, and show some compassion and understanding please, he is under a lot more pressure than folk realise, and more than most can cope with.
Thankyou.

Ferry has been booked.

As with all the battlefield trips I do, if anyone has a loved one buried and would like to visit then please let me know at least 2 weeks prior to departure, so that they can be included in the route. I will do my best to accommodate any last min requests but cannot guarantee. Likewise with any particular attraction.

Regards

As you may have noticed this thread is now about 6x smaller. I have deleted the posts no longer required and I hope kept the info we need.

Simon is doing the itinerary again this year but please all have a search on the net for places to visit along the way. Its all our holiday so don't moan later if your not happy with things.

The riding time this year will be much less than last year's. The area we are covering is much smaller so their should be plenty of time to fit things in. More time too for general site seeing and relaxing.

As a side note we need to do the club wreath again this year. Very nice touch last year.

So help everyone and post your suggestions.

Welcome to Holland,

Heard from Flying Dutchman, that a group of MT-riders is coming to Holland (Uden) in the first week of July. That is nearly in my back-yard. Hope you will have a great time on your Dutch Tour.

Hi Grant,

Thanks for the invite.
I will be there on Sunday.
When do you arrive in Uden?
Are you travelling via Belgium?

Thanks, Mat

When are you all leaving and returning? I'm not sure about the dates for my op ATM, however if I'm fit I may come over with my camper and MT
