I like the look of that abbreviated luggage rack. What bike was that rear mudguard originally made for?

Legally, are all motorcycles considered to be "single seat" vehicles? Or is there a certain length at which they become 2 seaters? Or is it a case of it being a "single seat" vehicle until you have somebody riding pillion?

I'm still trying to learn and understand the UK laws.

Rear mudguard is a cutdown and shaped YZ250.

A single seat bike is registered as one and does not have rear foot pegs etc. for carrying a pillion.

I see, so if I were to put a set of pillion pegs on my MT would I need to change the resgistration?

I have had over 40 different bikes, several had no pillion seat or footrests from new, and the registration document said nothing about it.
When you first register them there is a box for number of seats. If there are no pillion seats or foot rest you are supposed to put number of seats as one. I have no idea how you change it afterwards.

When they go for MOT the tester decides if it's a single seat or not and then makes the allowances for indicators etc.

It's such a weird grey area when it comes to something like the MT. My XR400 shows single seat on the V5.

A bit slow on this as I am not at home much this time of year. Just back in from France and had a bit of time so I finished of the oil temp probe. The hole is a M12x1.75 and all the senders seem to be either 1/8-28 NPT or finer metric threads, so today I machined up a converter that would not interfere with the probe on the back end and would fit the M12 hole.

Fits nicely I think?

Finished the mount for the speedo pickup and new stainless steel bushes for the footpads and break lever.

The manky looking wheels are just the spares I put on to fit everything up!!
