....Got down to Gary's Friday night......We set about stripping out my old Moscow engine.....I learned some top secret methods on engine removal involving large hacksaws.....Ady arrived at the same time as the Fish & Chip van.....I'm very envious that Gary has a chip van park over the road from his house on a Friday evening.....Ady then removed the engine with a small amount of assistance from me and then commenced to fit my new rear brake line in the blink of an eye.....
.....Saturday morning set about fitting the recon engine.....With a wiggle it was in....on with the carb and everthing else that had come off the night before....For the first time in my ownership of this bike, the panniers are now straight......
.....Couldn't believe it when the start button was pressed....It just came alive......no troubles starting......The ride back to Wales was great.....
...Roll on the Pyrenees.....
....just a few things to do before I go.....The new exhaust cover is too shiney and needs blackening.....Now I have a new engine I think I'll touch up some of the rust elsewhere on the bike.....
Cheers Gary......and Cheers Ady
