Wye Valley 2012, The revenge Halloween special.

Post by Franc » Wed Feb 15, 2012 6:49 pm

By popular request, I am pleased to announce that I have just managed to book the Beaver Lodge for 2012. (same location as last year). :D
Thanks to everyone who let me know preferred dates, The majority wanted early to mid October. Your wish is my command, and we now have it booked for:-
Friday 12th October - Sunday the 14th October.
I have yet to talk to the pub about the food arrangements, but I guess it will be pretty much the same as last year.
Same rules apply, everyone is welcome, however please make an effort to at lease turn up on something olive drab coloured. :P
I won't attempt to organise a bunkhouse, we didn't need it last year, and the scout hut itself can be used instead, however the pub next door can cater for those who can't pitch a tent, or unzip a sleeping bag.
Plenty of room for folk to bunker their bikes.
Any requests, questions, suggestions, please let me know. 8-)

May be worth adding that the pub down the road has also offered to help out for those who wish to turn up thursday night.
F,M,Fox has offered to put a road book together, it may be that this year we have to hand out maps for the different groups, the road group are welcome to explore the area without planing.
Anyone who has found a trail that they wish to explore within the area are welcome to use the event as a jump off point. All I request is to report your findings afterwards.
