Missed you boys on the Saturday night, a lot of hot stuff went begging.

Everyone in our camp had gone to bed by about one so I headed over to see if you were about and there was no sign of anyone.

How did you see me coming in the dark?
All that drink between me, Ifor and Tim put paid to a late one.

By Jove Ellrider,

You certainly have an ardent fan-base. It’s rumoured that there were tannoy messages ‘Ladies and gentlemen, Ellrider has left the bunkhouse’ . I wondered what has caused this transformation? Was it the recent course you went on ’How to win friends and influence people’ or was it your new aftershave? There does seem to be a bit of ‘sosban envy’ so maybe it’s that.

You seem so popular, but I have a slight concern that all those who missed you are male, Cathy Crumb has been very quiet on your absence. That said I’m pleased to see that you used the expression Devil v Deep Blue Sea, rather than caught between a Rock and a Hard place.

Whether you were universally missed is unclear, there was a Welsh lady on a radio phone-in who said that her husband was away for the week-end and it was nice and peaceful at home. She had a talking dog called William who was pleased (ell-ated?)to have a week-end without having to go in a draughty sidecar.................................

Had a superb time at the rally. Cheers All ! I felt welcome and even my display of how not to arrive at the Bunk House went down without any ribbing ! My failure to bring tent pegs was another own goal, saved from the elements by Franc and DSG - cheers boyz. Had a good trip back but my stupid centre stand decided to loose it's springs en route making a hell of a racket. Fortunately DSG saved the day with two elastic bands ... new parts on their way and I'm going fit the myself !!! Bunker and Alex have converted me to stop being a wuss re the mechanical side of MT's and with DSG and Nick on my doorstep, I've got zero excuse to keep my hands lilly white ! Finally, thanks to Rob for sparring with me - really interesting dagger fighting moves and sorry to the guy who nearly had me land on his MT ... I'm not normally such a knob ! ( well, depends on who you ask !!! ). Thanks again lads, a terrific first Dragon and my badge is now adorning my woolly hat. Cant wait for the next one and I'll try to arrive without letting down the MT riders with another "how not to stop in a field " episode. ps feel like a celebrity stalker too ... I've met Mankini man from last year having watched the video a few times and I've also met Mad Stu ... again having seen countless of his videos ! I failed to get autographs :D

I think the mental scar (possibly physical from the Dragon's Blood) is autograph enough mate.

Was a great weekend, great to see everyone. Maybe not so great when Ellrider poked me in the eye.

Massive thanks to Andy and the CMCC for putting on such a brilliant event :)
