I might come along, but there are a few minor leaks and other problems that I would need to sort out before committing to getting myself and my bike 100 miles away by 9am on a sunday, since I stopped commuting by bike it's gotten a little sulky. I'll watch the thread and see how much progress I've made and make final decision nearer the time 8-)

Any news on tickets for this ? They have sold pretty quickly in the past and I'm keen not to miss out (and so are a few mates...) If there is going to be a delay to get them via the club , I'm happy to book them independently ...... but it'd be useful to know.... ;)

For your attention. I just contacted the organisers (Afghan Heroes) of the ride of respect Wootton Bassett and this is their reply:
we are currently arranging our rides for this year as we will be spliting them between the north and south unfortunatly due to reasons out of of hands we are unable to have the ride at royal wootton bassett this year.
So it looks like the Wootton bassett ride is off. Maybe MT riders should organise something instead?

Hi all, just to clarify the ride is being organised by "ride of respect" and not by afghan heroes. Ive just logged in the website and we are still on for wootton , meet @ hullavington , like last year. If it changes I'll keep you informed or you could follow it on Facebook with " ride of respect" . Cheers , daz.

So are we talking about two different rides then? So who organised the ride on 03 April 2011 that I went to? Glad it's still on though.
Just found the Ride of respect Web site. (didn't even know it existed) and yes registration coming soon. Well at least we know that afghan heroes isn't running one this year if nothing else. Sorry if I confused anyone as well as myself :?

Quick update for you, just had an email from the organisers, sadly it says no block bookings, so you all need to register as individuals but I`m sure you`ll manage.

See you on the runway, I`ll be marshalling , wearing a Harley Davidson jacket 8-)

Just a quick word to let you know that the Ride of Respect 2012 registrations are now open.

Please visit our website http://www.rideofrespect.co.uk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; to register your participation.

Things to note.

When you click the register link, it will take you to the Royal British Legions website, dont worry they are kindly handling the registrations for us
You CANNOT block book a ride, everyone has to register individually per Bike/Trike ( 1 bike with rider and pillions )
Gift aid is now available, the tax man will kindly give us an extra £2.50 for every registration if you tick the box
Any questions you have please use the forums, they WILL NOT be answered via this email
You will be booking your arrival time not your ride time
Good luck, see you there and "Let the thunder roll"
