Dragon Rally from northwest

Post by worz » Wed Jan 11, 2012 5:12 am

Does any one fancy meeting up & riding over friday to the bunkhouse. I normally go northwich, whitchurch, ruabon, Llangollen & then down the A5 to betws-y-coed. Its a short trip down the M56 then all A roads after that but I'm open to ideas

I am hoping to go on the Friday and camp at the farm where the bunkhouse is (as I did last year). The route I take is "cross country" / minor roads as far as possible. You are welcome to join me.

We normally stop at the Midway Truckstop just south of Whitchurch for a brew about 1.00/2.00pm on the Friday, then follow your route to Betws-y-coed.If it's decent we might also have a run up to the Ponderosa cafe for yet more tea.We are stopping at the Youth Hostel at Swallow Falls, you are welcome to join us for the ride up if you like.

Still not 100% on my plans, i may be staying near llanberis on the friday night as a friend has booked a bunkhouse up (traveling down with them). If there isnt enough room for me then me and my mate will meet you in Penistone. Would it be possible to camp at the buckhouse on the friday night?
Oh and he is on a smelly mz 250 so he can only cruse at about 55/60 :?

wow thats fast. As far as the bunkhouse goes, no problem it might cost a couple of quid but Ellrider can find out if needed.
