Silly question, what is the MT like for long distance.Having rode mine from Cornwall to Hannover then to morocco and home through Spain, some 5000 miles or so, I would say pretty damned good!
Over 55 to the gallon no breakdowns at all and a reasonable amount of comfort. So you could have better seat comfort, but, hey, its not a BMW, thank god!
Several Elephant rallies, one alternative and handfull of trips to the Alps has not put Me off the little bike yet.
In summing up..... They are *%$Ă‚ÂŁ?>< excelent.
Ride it, have fun, Boo

Hi Pirate

I was at the National Motorcycle museum yesterday ... it was superb. amongst the many goodies I bought, I netted a book on Adventure Riding Essentials and the exact route you've been describing features as one of the trips ! God it's wetted my appetite even further ! :D
