Spannerhands and your mate Matt,

Well done on Saturday. Was good to see you both breeze up Bamford Clough with not a care in the world... ;) . Shame you couldn't stop for a chat!
I did pray you didn't stall it and have to do a kickstart on an incline with an audience.

Rear shocks looked interesting. Were they the same length as the original Ohlins?

Dear Stuart

Yes the shocks are the same length as standard for the 500. The 350 has longer shocks as standard.
They came second hand with another MT I bought. They are very expensive new I think around Ă‚ÂŁ400.
The great advantage is that you can change the spring rate just by changing the air pressure although this does require a special pump which is another Ă‚ÂŁ60.
They work realy well as long as you fit them with the schrader valve forward. I fitted them the wrong way around first time and sheared of the valve on one of them. I finished the 2010 Exeter with 2 inches of suspension travel looking like Dennis Hopper in Easy Rider
If you need any information on the part number of shock I can probably find it.

All the best David
