....A Great Day Out In Mid-Wales....

Post by pupster » Tue Sep 13, 2011 9:59 pm

.....After a 24 delayed start (Fuel starvation problems aka empty fuel tank!!!), I had a great day out today in the Mid-Wales hills with Captain MT350......We took the old drovers road from Llanegryn just north of Tywyn over to Cregeggen Lakes, then dropped down to Friog, into Dolgellau for a snack then over the Dinas Pass back home.....Brilliant driving in strong winds and sunshine.....

Be who you are and say what you feel because those that
matter don't mind and those that mind don't matter!

I shall have to get mine over to that part of Wales as I holiday there often. Are there many good rides to be had around there?

...Cheers!.....
......There are some great scenic roads round here.....plus plenty of forestry tracks and a few good mountain tracks......The track we rode was on the north side of Cader Idris and looks down over Barmouth & the rail bridge crossing the Mawddach Estuary.....truly beautiful.....somewhere up on the track is a memorial to some American Servicemen who lost their lives there when their plane crashed into the mountain at the end of the war...I saw it a few years ago but missed it this time....
...I did make Toby drive through that puddle a few times to get that picture!.....
...Here's some more......
