Bad luck Stu! Looks like that hit on the side may have popped the shaft off the selector drum. Going well until then.

What a shame. As said above you looked to have had a good start. Maybe the KTM is the way forward.

Mm, interesting idea Stu sowed a while back. Team MT for next year.

Might be a problem due to 2012 commitments but would be a cracking weekend.

I might even know someone who could/would join us/sponsor us

I'll make some enquiries.

Whats the biggest team you can enter Stu?

You can enter a 4 man team on the
24 hour race, 3 man on the 12 hour, 2 man on the 6 hour.

I'd really like to see a team mt there! I'll be spending the next year training for 24 hour. If you don't go to the gym (like me), start going!

By the way, I made the mistake of thinking it would be just like one big green lane. I was so wrong.

It's relentless! A lot of marshals had trials tyres on, and one pro team ran all their bikes with them too. So that might be the way forward.

The river/stream you ride along came up to my knees on the ktm too, so might have to sort out a snorkel for the mt, especially if it's raining.

Sounds like a cracking and demanding day.

Perhaps we can all have a chinwag at the Witley 100 afterwards about the possibilities.

Mind you , we might have to take a few sapre engines!

Such a shame Stu, especially after all the money and effort you put in.
A great video, loved the F words,
Takes some balls to compete on a old heavy machine against modern machinery.
Bikes can be fixed and luckily your ok ;)

Perhaps a guard, similar to the brush guards, around the gear lever may prevent the same happening again.

Cheers guys..

I just found this vid on youtube of the start. My class (Sportsman) started last, so just skip to 12mins 20seconds on the video to see the start - Can't believe he laughs at me when he's told it's an Armstrong, lol
