Great job mate. How does this conversion affect ride height? And I didn't quite understand where the upper mount of the shocks go. Do you have to weld a cross member in the frame to mount them?

Very cool looking bike.....

Unfortunately not, the bearings need to be changed to the 32005/25 to fit the headstock, this also means the stem requires reducing in diameter by approx 0.1-0.2 of a mm as the original is a one off size.

The middle strut of the frame has been replaced with the one from the CCM frame, this could be done by welding a mounting bracket in, but I have done this for strength and safety.
The top mount ends up just behind and below the back of the carb, its a VERY close fit and needs to be mm perfect to allow clearence, you would also have to use the shortened carb rubber to move the carb forwards giving you more space.

MT's are closely related to CCM's.
Thats like saying the MT350 is not a Harley but an Armstrong. or anyone putting a none MT tank on their bike makes that no longer an MT.
I have a Ford Ranger thats all Mazda under the skin................but its still a Ford Ranger.
Its still an MT at heart, and I am trying to make it look like one as much as possible.

You don't need a parachute to skydive. You only need a parachute to skydive twice.
