Finished rebuild and back on the road

Post by jimmynomates » Sat Jul 23, 2011 10:12 pm

I have now completed my first bike rebuild and am pleased to say thanks to the help available from this forum and it's members the build has been a great success (I think)

I have done a few miles on the urban bike and apart from it seems a little lean on the bottom end it ran sweet I think I may need to change a jet or two but not sure as I can't seem to find many posts on the subject of the 350 carb on a 500

So thanks to all who have given their knowledge and experience and here are a few pics of the finished project :D

Thanks Abdallah, Morpheus and MarkW for your comments I was out for a ride again this morning and it certainly does catch peoples eyes

I am not sure now if it would be more suited to a snowscape rather than urban one thing is for sure when the seaguls dump on it it gets allover but I just can't find it to wash it off

Nice one! Did you paint it all yourself by hand?
