Sincerely wishing you good luck, hope your bike behaves better than mine is.
I wouldn't expect 60 either! I took the four boxes off mine the other day - it felt like a supermoto.
Keep a log of your experiences, it'll make ya laugh later!

What route are you following down to Ace cafe?
Travelling down A1? Any idea of time you'll be in the location of Blyth Services if you are?
Can't make it to ace cafe but could give you some support en-route
Take care,
Chris

Bloody hell I must have been way to busy of late as this is the 1st ive seen of this post. I would have up'd the front sprocket to 16t from the 15t, keeps the revs down on the long roads.

Best of luck to you and what looks to be an amazing adventure!!

......Set off today from Waltham St Lawrence in Berkshire.....destination Scotland.....We were waved off by Theresa May MP just after 12pm.......9 hours and 358 miles later I'm safe in Scotland.......that was a gruelling day.......it's the furthest I've ever travelled by bike in one day.......With about 100 miles to go sparks were suddenly flying and one of my co-travellers waved me to stop.......the centre stand had lost it's second spring and was trailling on the ground......5 minutes and a load of insulation tape later I was back on the road......the last 100 miles were hard.....it was getting cold......I had my thermal long johns on plus my jeans plus my waterproofs......Very glad to have had a hot bath and be in bed.....

I could have time to change my sprockets to a different configuration before leaving the country......Any ideas what's best for long road trips and where can I get them at short notice??.....Ideally without changing the chain as well!!
