Looks like there was some further drama with Wirralman's electrics?

Sorry I missed Kielder. Where did John peel off?

Here's a pic I took at Horton in Ribblesdale.

erics problem was his ht lead came adrift from the coil.he had a few cut outs before it stopped completely obviously in the worst place possible up tan hill way.

The same pic is on the original pennine way thread. Looks like the site's pic hosting service doesn't like having the full size image referenced edirectly.

Eric seemed to get past Tan Hill ok while I was still with you. Everyone arrived at the A66 together when I turned right for Barnard Castle.

DSG will tell us more no doubt.

some very rough fuel figures .....

total miles i traveled ....795mls

total cost of fuel at aprox Ă‚ÂŁ1.40 ltr.....Ă‚ÂŁ77

i used aprox 12.5 gals

aprox mpg = 65

when i ran out of fuel on the run to bellingham i did 137mls full to empty. with a 2 gal tank thats 68 mpg....not too bad for a 500

Re fuel consumption for my bike MT350 std carb apart from No 42 jet. New T63s at start of ride.

Total distance run 1155km 721 miles
Fuel consumption 24.11km/ltr 68.49 mpg

Max range 251km. It would have been a touch more had I filled up to the brim whilst on centrestand rather than the neck of the filler on sidestand. On fill up the tank took 10.95 litres when brimmed and on sidestand.

You don't need a parachute to skydive. You only need a parachute to skydive twice.
