Re: Pennine Way Run 2011
Hi Mark
thanks for your comments and your continued interest.
Several people have asked for the information re sites and route details however there are only 3 of us down for definite. I have asked for members to confirm but.....
I will be at Stafford this weekend and I am hoping that some additional members may firm up their inquiries or join.
I was in Northumberland and Cumbria last weekend along with the MT, camping. The weather was perfect and the views only second to those in Wales!!
I hope that you can make it even if it is only for one or two days.

Re: Pennine Way Run 2011
For those of you thinking about this run, it is a series of runs on Saturday 14th, Sunday 15th and Monday 16th, the ride starting in Derbyshire and running through the Yorkshire Dales National Park and Northumberland National Park. There is a suggested ROAD route for each day. You can do one or more of the days , email Dave (DSG) for details.
I have been researching the Off-road possibilities near to the nightly campsites. There are potential tracks nearby, so the plan would be to set up camp and then if there is time and riders want to, we can go exploring.

Re: Pennine Way Run 2011
Just thought that I would raise my event again in case there are any more members thinking of coming to this event. One week to go & there is still time to book in at the campsites, be it for one night or for all four nights. If anyone wants campsite details and routes please send me an email. gilligd@hotmail.co.uk

I’m also considering joining in on the first part of the ride, thought it would be nice to give a bit of support and meet some of you at last.
What time (ish) are you looking at setting off from Hayfields?

You are very welcome to join the group.
Regards leaving the Hayfield campsite, at a guess between 9 and 10am.
The campsite is well sign posted as you drive into the village so it should be easy to find. There is a van selling the usual bacon / sausage sandwiches etc near the site entrance.
Look forward to seeing you.

Re: Pennine Way Run 2011
I know it's a bit last minute, but I just managed to get my MT500 MOT'd today and I'd like to join the run if I'm not too late. I have a full camp kit and some saddlebags ready to roll. I'll have to peel off at Middleton in Teesdale on Sunday morning and head for Durham, I'm due at a christening at 2pm. 'Er indoors will have my ass on a spit if I'm late to get dressed...
If I can join the fun, let me know the link to the latest version of the info I need to download - thanks, and hope to meet you all in Hayfield. Cheers - Rog tallbloke
