Epa STANDARDS-it looks to me like your bikes are fitted with the same carbs and mufflers
(silencers) as my bike,if the equipment is the same then all's well.I think my mufflers are made by supertrapp but I'm not sure.
As for special construction or what we call around here a "builders title" you must show purchase reciepts for all parts. The frame is the hardest part because it contains the serial numbers. When we buy a frame from suppliers you get an MSO.-manufacturers statement of origin. They(THE DMV) will then issue you a sticker with a vin number.I built a h.d. with my freind and started with a used 1984 stock h.d. frame that we purchased locally. Here, in Tennessee, the title for a bike goes with the frame. So we got a clear h.d. title when we got the frame ,took the title directly to the dmv and told them it was a complete bike that was not running and in poor condition. They made us buy licence plates and such, but hey,it worked! It took my freind quite a few years to finish it,but the paper was the most important part.
If you were to find a non running mt here, you could use that paper for your bike.EVERY STATE HAS DIFFERENT LAWS!! You might contact a custom builder in Florida for info on building in that state.I'll keep an eye out for a frame, maybe you could get a title here , then take it to FL. and get a FL. title. This is not a common bike in the states. good luck, I'll help if I can

I'm not sure that is the case. I thought the US models had a different carb. Also the standard US muffler has a spark arrestor , which we don't have over here. It would be easy enough to swap the parts to US spec items though.

How have you guys managed to get the bikes registered? I am looking to take mine to FL and I cant get HD to help and no way to get it into the country past the EPA.

Are there any scrappers out there going cheap with a tittle that I could rebuild from my pile of parts?
This is from the US Customs.

Before you decide to import a motorcycle into the United States, you should ensure it conforms to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. These agencies have very detailed requirements that can make importing a motorcycle difficult. EPA advises importers of motorcycles to obtain a letter from the manufacturer stating it conforms to U.S. standards. If it is imported into the U.S. and does not conform, it must be brought into compliance before it can clear Customs and Border Protection (CBP), be legally registered, used and or sold in the U.S.

If it is not brought into compliance, it can not remain in the U.S. and it must be exported or destroyed. For example, if the motorcycle you intend to import is a Harley Davidson, many of these bikes were exported for sale in a foreign country and do not conform to U.S. standards. The EPA has a detailed automotive facts manual describing emission requirements. You can get a copy of this manual, entitled the Automotive Imports Facts Manual (order #EPA420B94006) or other information about importing motor vehicles by calling the EPA Import Hotline at (734) 214-4100.

From a CBP standpoint, you must file an entry and the EPA Form 3520-1 and the DOT form HS-7 must be submitted to CBP to receive the Entry Summary document CBP Form 7501. You will need this form to register the motorcycle in your state.

Prior to filing your entry with CBP, ensure you have valid proof of ownership, which is an original certificate of title, or a certified copy of the original, and the bill of sale. You will be required to pay 1.5% to 2.9% duty, which will be assessed based on the purchase price or blue book value.

For additional information on how to bring motor vehicles into the U.S. for personal use, please reference our publication "Importing a Motor Vehicle"

MT-500 in the US sell for big bucks I saw one on E-Bay that was asking $25.000 But most go for $10K

Yep, that is the brick wall I am hitting.

If I can get a frame with a title I can then build a bike into it using the required parts.

SOooo if anyone can come up with a frame and title I would be most grateful!
