am gona try the new pic uploader thingy...here are the results of todays run up't lakes.
i had a "could have been a major" incident and one "very nearly". first was my own stupidity.
i had parked the bike on a fairly steep hill with engine idling, riding out of langdale up to blea tarn,to take some pics. took camera out of top box ,stepped back about 15ft then as if by magic mt starts to roll back and back and back .oh shit spins round and flops on her side. ran back and picked her up and low and behold absolutly no damage at all.phew. then nearing home nearly dropped her on diesel .held her up on my left leg then started off and she spins almost full circle on the stuff. nearly a bad end to a good ride....but hey , thats biking.

Hi Brian

thanks for sharing your images of the Lakes etc with us - just reminds me that we live in such a lovely country. I was in the Lakes last Sep staying overnight at Wast water YH, it was certainly warmer than on Weds.
There was a group of us on bikes touring the country, riding through 12 of the national parks - perhaps a repeat of this week long trip could appeal to the MT riders?

Gorgeous innit see.

Not the scenery, the roaring fire in the bar!!
I'm sure I've parked where you are in pic 7&8, I was up there a few years ago in the autumn and cycled the 'old coach road', awesome area. Lucky you.
