Great photos Roy, I am not ex RE but I did a tour with 21 in Nienburg about 93 onwards also included Grapple 5. Nice bunch if you like bridges

i was on a hgv 2 driving coarse with the guy on the right at church crookham in 84/85 can remember his name

Which Picture?
If it's the last one, his name is Max Singh. He came to Ripon from Osnatraz in about '88 IIRC which would tie in with posting times from your course.

Hi Roy, Great pics, Is that Arthur Laverty in the middle of the 3rd picture i see! Old mate of mine, Ex MT owner.. He now lives near banbury and has been a bike instructor since he left the army!

Yes indeed, it is Jock Laverty. It's also him in the second picture. We did our instructors course together. We had a great laugh on that course, some of the speeds, bends and off road stuff we did was quite amazing at the time, given the general thoughts about MTs.Minter wrote:Hi Roy, Great pics, Is that Arthur Laverty in the middle of the 3rd picture i see! Remind him of my spectactular crash at the top of the near vertical climb, he must remember it! Of and the women of Beverley!

We were lucky, we stayed at Driffield, commuting for the course. Beverley was just down the road, remind him I was the Royal Engineer with the Goldwing.
