Well so far so good, front forks are ok but had to replace gaiters front mudguard rear mudgaurd headlamp cowling all ready to go back on bike.Just finished cleaning rear rack hope to start painting tonight .Steering head bearings appear to be ok so shouldn't have to strip. Hopefully will start on sump guard and rest of frame tomorrow. Cheers Jim.

My stainless exhaust headers and mid section arrived yesterday from KL, pity the headers are so shiny had to rough them up a bit with sandpaper ,hopefully the paint will take. Image
Its amazing what a wire brush, jenolite, sandpaper ,lots of elbow grease and paint can do!

Hopefully tomorrow I'll get the front half of frame off, remove engine and clean ,too cold today at -15 but a bit of a heatwave tomorrow -1.

Cheers Jim.

That looks really good. It just goes to show what can be done without the need for sandblasting and powder coating.

Finished front half of frame ,wasn't as bad as I thought ,seems the front plate had saved it. Image
Deleted photographs of rear section stripped by mistake so heres one of it with rear wheel etc on. Image
My two dogs are certainly happy at the momentImage
Next problem is the 4 nuts holding the headers on to the cylinder head. I'm going to have to try and hacksaw the nuts off DAMN! Then next problem How to get it out of the kitchen      Image
