cant remember on the 500 but its a bit off on the 350 and i fit my rubber the same way.

My 500s the same -- off centre, & I have to fit the rubber the same way. Not easy is it

She runs, my electircs work !! I do need to adjust the clutch and the idle speed though.
The carb was overflowing at first so I took the bowl off with much effort, I resorted to choping the handle off one of my cheap screwdrivers to get the screws out!
I attached the bowl and float to the tank, turned on hte petrol and it all worked fine, typical! Must have been dirt that got in during the rebuild, although I take extra care to keep it clean .
Put the bowl back on and it all worked fine, fired up 2nd kick! I'm still stuggling to understand the dislike of Amal carbs!
I haven't sorted the plastics out yet but intend to in the near future, but am moving shortly and need a functioning bike. I've also had more than enough for a while of working on the bike in an unheated gargae in this weather!
