My MT500

Just a collection of photos of my bike, from various stages of ownership (it changes every weekend). It's more of a list so I can see in chronological order what worked, and what didn't, so I can learn from it. Most will get bored, but any comments/suggestions are welcome. I've included a small description of what each photo is showing.

Next idea is a sidecar, or small trailer.

That front rack is awesome - I've been looking for a front rack for ages.

Did you make it or buy it - if so, where from?

So i was right with the jerry can on the left side :lol: :lol:

great & interesting bike - able to transport a whole household with it; incl. blockbuster :lol:

Hope to see it one time on road

I have 2 Jerry cans, but I normally just swap which 1 between both sides, and have a canvas pannier bag on the other.

It was pulled out of a scrap bin at the local bike garage, it's actually a top box rack, but it doesn't have any writing on it, so I don't know what make it is.

It's only attached via the headlamp cowl on 2 bolts, and can take a suprising amount of weight... I've towed the bike via it (with a quad).

Do you find the front box causes much turbulence wen riding?

Nope, none. If anything it made low-speed riding easier, as it kept weight on the front wheel and improved handling.

They are just briliant 8-)
Sh@t some are certainly not pretty, but what the F#cks that got to do with MT`s.
Its a work horse and you`ve demonstrated that in full order. 8-)
I particulary like the front rack and that its been used to tow :o
But also the trimmed down rear racks, looks like it should be a standard finish.

Hi truslack have you got digital speedo? noticed cable down forks .Any mt's for sale down preston way? How much more to do to yours its a bit like a swiss army knife.

The cable down the forks is for a foglight mounted on the pinch bolts.

It's not a case of "how much more to do", ideas come and go every week, then I try and implement them. This MT is on hold at the moment so I can get the engine rebuilt, I have a fairly standard looking MT that I bought off Simon.

I'm not aware of any for sale round here, but I'll keep my eyes peeled.
