My new MT

Post by HaChayalBoded » Sat Oct 02, 2010 12:13 am

Finally got around to taking some pictures.

Looks like I need to do some work to get it together, but I did buy some odds and ends for it already.

First a tool tube for the right hand side.

Then a little bit of extra luggage up front. Fender bag by Tusk, this is nice and cheap and comes with two tire irons. On top of the headlight shroud is a "dirt-bike-gear" number plate bag, uses an abundance of straps to mount which is why I picked it over the other brands that use just 3. On the handlebars is a "moto-cooler" from ebay, I can fit a 1L bottle of water in there or use it as a regular handlebar bag.

I have been looking for a side pic of the 500e frame, Thanks!

Tool box, tool tube, neumerous strap on bags - Are you hoping to breakdown?

No but I do take long trips where I am on my own if anything were to happen. On the MT I won't be going as far as on some of my other bikes but it's nice to be prepared. People laugh at my tool kit but I have had to use it more than once....for those same people.

By the way, that tool tube would be reserved for carrying a 1L fuel bottle.

The number plate bag for odds and ends that would normally go in a tankbag.

What did you want to see on the side of a 500e frame?

your 500e bikes dont come with side crash bars or a centre stand/tensioner. I was wanting to see if there were mounting points present for them or if the frame was identical otherwise to ours....

A picture of the bottom of the frame (where centre stand would mount) and swing arm would be great ;)

I'll get you some pics, what part of the swing arm would you like a pic of?

You CAN mount a centerstand to the 500e, also the side crash bars DO come with it....if the bike happened to come with the panniers and gun case.

A pic of the drive side/right of the swing arm would be great and the bottom of the frame.
Cheers

I got the tool tubes from a company called agrisupply here in the US. However what it truly is is an operators manual cannister for a John Deere tractor. I have two of these and two 4" ones, those hold a 2L bottle of soda perfectly. Yes they are fully waterproof.

Here are some links to how others have mounted theirs.

Thanks, it's apart because for some reason it's running WAY too hot. The headers turn cherry red and the bike will not idle unless it's on choke. Also, I melted my front fender because of it :(
