Have had quite a few mishaps on the way, workspace has not been on my side as we're currently hanving an extension built, so have had to fight for garage space. most of the parts were all good so had a quick paintjob then back on the bike. Managed to get it started which i am quite pleased of 8-) . One slight problem is that i couldn't get the bike to turn off again once it had been started... anyone have any idea? now below is a picture of one connnector that has been pulled off the wire so this is needing to be sorted. could this be why it didnt cut out? any help would be much appreciated!

Am just off to grab some new bearings for the trials sidecar so will hopefully be getting it on tonight before completling it all :D

Those wires that are not connected are the alternator/generator. Have two of them been conected together? The bike not stopping could be down to an earth wire not being connected to the ignition switch or maybe some where else like the horn.

If you have it running then connect the black and white one to the frame it should cut out. If not then the cable is at fault, if it does cut out then between the cable to switch is at fault.

Not sure if the other would test it like that but i would.

The two out of three on the connector were connected while the bike was running. i will try this tomorow, with putting in a new female connector and will update 8-)

the ignition barrel worked fine before it was all taken apart so i assume it should still work.. im the looking, there are quite a few chopped wires that i found whilst taking apart. i found a yellow chopped by the he1adlight part of the loom, fou nd a spare space male connector to where the horn comes off the loom.

number 3 off the regulator has to be grounded, am i right? and also the circular connector which is right next to the end of the - battery lead?
