Lot 3 is a bit worse for ware with a few more parts missing. After removing the birds nest of a shredded cambelt and fitting a new belt along with tightening the top pulley she started as well. All in all not bad.

The only bad part is I have decided to keep Lot 3 and sell my MT500 to cover some of my cost. Bit of a shame as the 500 is a good one and goes and starts very well.
Nice one.

If you want to sell on the pannier mounts off the one with the bits missing, I know of a good home for them on my MT500 ... ;)

Had an early start this morning and got the carb mod done. I went for a ride and didn't think there was a great improvement. Not wanting to hack my air box to bits I removed the cover and coverd and siliconed up the left side of the air box up. What an improvement that made. She now goes of the clock :D :D Success

Its funny Ive just taken my 'spare' cover off that I had drilled large holes in to prove to myself after 18months of pissing about that cutting the top off the airbox is worth it.. (I was going to offer it up on the forum as a pass me round tester for people to try).

I alos found the 'rubber' from the rear of the carb to the air box was more a case of solid brittle plastic. Now replaced with a section of old rear innertube.

just need to check out the fuel tap on the tank to see why it let me run dry with no reserve.
