Persy & The Beast..ride

Post by Aleman » Thu Jun 10, 2010 6:37 pm

Hi all.

Well, After getting used to Persy me and Paull got round to meeting up in his hometown, Midhurst.
Petworth and Midhurst are neighbouring historical market towns, 6 miles between them.
So not far to travel then.

As I was waiting for Paull to turn up, what happens? Oil leaking out the bottom, about 2 egg cups, what a great start this is.
Anyway, rode back following the Beast (Don't worry Paull, I won't tell them your 500 dies at the lights..) back for a cuppa........after that......no leaks.
Looks like it sealed its self once warm. Will need to order that gasket though.

We had a spin through the local country lanes then back to mine for coffee.
Sorry no pics but was great to see both 350 and 500 sitting on my drive.

So that's a first for me and Persy to meet up with a fellow MT'er.

Nice chap is Paul, makes a nice cuppa and happy to lend a hand...love the HD Sportser!

We mentioned about meeting up with some other southern local Mt'ers, so how about it.
I know there's one in Horsham.

Look forward to the next ride!

Cheers,

Keith :D

Hi Aleman, glad to see your out and about with minimal problems.
Now that my bike is 95% reliable I'm available for rides, meets, birthdays, weddings, bamitsvas.

Let me know when and where and I'm there.

Hi Christosx,

Got a wedding in 2 weeks (not mine) so maybe sometime after that maybe can arrange a
rendevous between here and there. See if Paull is up for it and maybe Madstu and the chap
from Horsham, sorry his name escapes me.

Until then I have an oil change and gasket replacement to do too.

Cheers,

Keith. :P

Mine's still in bits, but I'm happy to meet and talk about rebuilding stuff any time - What about Alton bike meet, Loomies or Newlands Corner one evening? Or a Sunday morning brekky meet?

Guys,

Give me a shout when you meet up - I'd like to try and get there.

I used to live in Milford and spent many a happy evening at Newlands Corner ;)

Be nice to meet you and talk MTs

Hi,

I am in the same area. I enjoyed a good blast on my MT on the A272 all the way over to Uckfield last weekend, via Midhurst & Petworth. It would be good to do a meet up or ride out some time , please count me in

Are we talking weekend or evening meet up? Loomies is a bit far to come from Brighton of an evening, by the time I get there I'll have to come straight back again :?

Where the blinkin 'eck you lot come from?

And I always thought I was a "Larry" from the South..

That would be great. We can all go back to mine and park the MT's outside :D

But the misses will tell ME to make the tea's.. bless 'er!

I think Paull and I must be in the middle (nearly) of this lot.

I can do a mid week early evening meet or a Late afternoon Sunday (have to take
the misses to work) and maybe the odd Saturday.

Give me until the beginning of July.

PM me if you want to swap tel. no.s to arrange a RDV.

Cheers,

Keith. ;)
