Re: AT LAST - I can post something in this area!
Thanks mate,
If only the DVLA registration was as easy!
Got to the DVLA office about 1600, waited in a queue until around 1630. (WHY do all the old people choose to renew their tax discs at this office?)
Anyway, got to speak to a lady who must have been new or something She checks everything a hundred times, go away and speaks to a colleague, comes back, checks it again, then tells me "As it's a first registration it needs to be inspected"
So they have inspections once a week, the next one is tomorrow and she's booked me in at 1220. So that means I got to trailer it down there.
Left the DVLA office at about 1655, I was the last one left in the room!
I'm so close, yet so far!

Oh, I wasn't worried about tomorrow actually, lol, it's not an MOT, just some pencil pusher checking numbers right?
NOW I'm worried! Do I need luck?

No, he'll just make sure there is an actual bike that your are registering or you could have invented it. He'll also check the numbers. This is quite common with the MT.

You don't need a parachute to skydive. You only need a parachute to skydive twice.

Stu
you didn't buy your bike from a dodgy geezer did you? He didn't tell you any tall stories when you bought it by any chance, or play the wounded soldier routine to put you off you checking the paperwork?

Re: AT LAST - I can post something in this area!
OK, Bike inspected, job done!
He did look at it a bit strangely, lol, he said "Harley's usually use a different font on their frame stamps" implying that there was something dodgy about the bike.
I just waffled that I thought a British company, Armstrong, had made them previously and Harley had bought the rights to it, he believed me and ticked the boxes on his sheet.
Now I just gotta wait for the paperwork to arrive with my reg number etc.
All this waiting though, it's just like in the Army (Hurry up and wait!)
