Re: Im new here and this is why Armstrong Enduro circa 1983
Just out of curiosity what is a bike like this worth (ball park ?).
Took my MT through the fields last weekend and now its covered in mud looks so sad when it was all nice and clean in the garage up to now.
Methinks I need another bike for the fields so I can keep the MT clean.
Not sure the wife or the bank balance would agree though

well there is another one for sale on this site at Ă‚ÂŁ1295 ( UK price) but with the taxation system in EIRE it would cost a fortune to import when customs get hold of youStorminNorm wrote:Just out of curiosity what is a bike like this worth (ball park ?).

Sorry this is not a sales pitch and as that remark infers such I shall NOT advertise the bike here on this site when its finishedTDIPower wrote:I call that cunning sales pitch... get folks interested.. they think they cant afford it at the moment BUT now they know how long they have to save for it!!
Would love to see it in the flesh

I didnt mean it as an true 'crafty' sales pitch. I was just messing.... Please dont take it to heart, It is very difficult to express the humor you are thinking when you type. It is a fantastic bike and I was very suprised you wern't finishing it before selling when you are so close. Once again sorry that you took it in a way I had not intended.
The thing is I was thinking I will have space and maybe some money later in the year. I know Simon did my avatar for me but I cant help myself , I seem to talk my self round to buying things

I also would be interested when it come up for sale, also after taking the fantastic Mr Fox's 350 (and drowning it ) out, he was on mine. I am after adding one of those to my collection.

OK pirate, watch this space.......
It could be some time as I'm busy working on a vintage car now and the Armstrong has gone to the back of the queue...
I last worked on the Armstrong late December 2009...
so I could be a while, its busy this retirement lark

Well its now MAY 2010 and I've made no further progress with this project
Unfortunatly a lot of family probs ( health - but not mine) have got in the way
and the bike is well back of the queue for any work/ progress.
Maybe next year

Welcome back, that's life, the best laid plans and all that. Hopefully family are better now, I'm sure you will get round to the bike some day, not much left to do if I can remember.
