Bit cold to do any work at the moment but do have a few small problems that need sorting.
The oil keeps going up and down, manual says it's the scavenger pump but the manual I have doesn't say how to change the scavenger pump!
Any suggestions gratefully received.

Re: Oil
Hi,this sounds more like the check valve behind the oil filter(the slotted screw cap can be difficult to remove without a few taps and perhaps an impact driver and good fitting bit) The rubber valve tip ,pin and spring are available as seperate parts from peter knight and do not cost much. If this is leaking the oil drains down into the crankcases and when you check the dipsick the oil level looks to be low so you top up and run the bike and lo and behold when it is up to operating temperature there is too much oil. Always check the oil when the bike has warmed up ,stop the engine and make sure the oil registers between the two marks on the dipstick. When the engine is running remove the oil cap/dipstick and look in the filler neck .You should see oil circulating and returning to the frame.

Re: Oil
as french says... run up to temp on centre stand, stop, give it 30seconds and check the level. you dont need to drain the oil to do the valve. shut the fuel tap, pop off the battery, lay the bike over on the exhaust side, pop off the sprocket cover, remove the 3 allen bolts on the filter cover, pop the filter out and you will see the 'screw' holding the valve in.
