Are folk up for another weekends bimbling? Last time it was a bit hot in August and so I thought either June or September. A local motorcycle club (Nene Valley Motorcycle Club) holds trial events on the estate in an old quarry on Sundays, we could tie in a visit to one of them if people had the time? There is a a club event on the 16th June and a national event on the 8th September.

September it is. Let me just check the calendar and I'll post a date in a a day or two. There will be some decent green lanes, greasy spoon cafe, local pub and (if the flooding goes down) the chance to smash yourself and bike up in an old ironstone quarry.

I have split this away into a new thread for 2024 to keep it simple and from getting mixed with earlier event
Thanks for organising Jon P

Thanks for the interest. I'll organise it for the weekend on the 6th, 7th and 8th September. Arrive on the Friday 6th afternoon/evening. Trip out on the 8th and pub and/or barbeque in the evening. The 8th (Sunday) would be if people wanted to visit the trials event in the morning, assuming the event is confirmed in due course. More details a bit nearer the time.
Camping on site. Loo and shower available. Barn with lights and electric also available to kip in if needed. Obviously other accommodation is available nearby

Just starting to finalise the details. The dates are the same, arrive Friday afternoon/evening. Run out on Saturday, nothing to taxing, but if people wanted we can go for a blast round the old quarry at some point during the day. Optional on Sunday morning we can go an have a look at the ACU trials event in another old quarry on the estate.
Assuming there are a few folk up for this can they let me know so as I have some idea about numbers.
