Wanted: MT350 seat pan

Bike is a few inches too high for my wife to use so looking for a seat pan that i can then get made up to be thinner than the standard. Perhaps with gel pads & alcantara.
No, i don't want to use my perfectly good current seat as i want to be able to turn it back to 100% issued whenever i like.
Never encourage your other half to get a full bike licence. 10 years of regret & counting !

If you slide the forks through the yoke, you can swiftly lower the front up to 4 inches ( and slide it back again easily)

Never needed to do it myself, ask Gerraint (Gegdonnel). Better still just try it for yourself. I'd recommend you soak the securing Allen bolts with releasing fluid/wd40 , do it a few times over the course of a week then unscrew- they'll be tight.

Also fit the shorter Armstrong 500 rear shocks.

No offence but i'd prefer to hear from someone who has actually done what you have suggested. It sounds iffy to me & i've no plans to find out first hand that it seriously affects the handling by having an accident myself. Always best to learn from the experience/mistakes of others

No offence taken, sculpting the saddle has less effect than lowering the forks, or fitting 500 shocks as Alan mentions , Hagon also do shorter shocks that fit NB getting it on the mainstand may also get harder.

As mentioned Gerraint slid his forks up years ago and others have used the technique. Gerraint also sculpted his seat from memory.

Some tyre walls are taller than others- but give less than a centimetre height reduction.

I have a 30" (almost.....) inside leg. Somewhere between 5'5 & 5'6
Using Hagon MT500 length rear shocks and forks up through the yokes about 40mm.
Heidenu K60 tyres
Bike seat sits about level with toes on the ground, no noticeable difference to the handling

Both the last 2 posts are very helpful - thanks.
I really want the seat pan so i can get the seat a couple of inches lower & less wide so my wife can swing her leg over and have both feet planted.
The seat pan being for me the quickest way of changing the set up for her back to me. I don't want to keep sliding the front forks up & down or changing the rear shocks every time she wants to have her occasional, short ride. Far easier to just switch the seats.
Looks like i'll need to cast the net a bit wider in my search.
Once i get one, i'll keep you posted on how it goes.
