South East Trail Finder November 18-20th 2022
I'm glad to say that the Halfway House has confirmed for a third year in a row that we can have another weekend
in the pub and camp in the garden, you 'orrible lot obviously didn't upset the landlord/barman/locals too much last
year!
The premise is the same as previous years: it's a trail riding treasure hunt/way point finding ride out on the Saturday.
I'll devise a route and supply the co-ordinates for you guys to plot on a map/sat nav and work as teams to find as many
of the markers before the sun sets (it's November, so it'll be dark by lunch.) Look at previous years event threads if you
need more explanation. I'll try and pin point a lunch stop at the Husqvarna dealership/cafe, a couple of us stopped there
last year and I reckon you'd like it.
As before, camping/vamping is free, but the landlord does expect us to eat and drink in the pub whilst they're open. We
catered breakfast ourselves last year and that seems to work best.
Just ask if you've got any questions, it would be good to see some new faces.
Oh and if my hernia isn't giving me too much grief I might make another trophy and declare a winner at the end of the day.

Great
Don’t worry, because of a technicality, the pub falls within Tonbridge; so is in the safe zone

Questions from a newbie. You guys go around in a group or on your own looking for the codes? What happens on the Sunday? Is it breakfast and then disperse? How many miles you reckon you cover on the trail finding? Thanks in advance, Steve.

People usually break down into a few groups, it all depends on how many/who turn up. I always set half the waypoints on a trail and the other half accessible by road.
I’ve got no idea on mileage, all depends on how many times you get lost . We set off late morning and everyone’s back by mid/late afternoon. It’s not a huge distance. I’ll look at last years course and guesstimate.

Arrive Friday when you want, others will arrive till late, then eat in the pub.
Saturday, make breakfast, go riding, spend evening in the pub.
Sunday, fend for yourself and go home.
