I'll start working on the details over the next week or so. One thing I'm going to try is 'WhatsApp Live Location' to reduce the chances of people getting lost or split up. If your not aware of this I'd check it out, very simple and useful. All it entails is me making a group on whatsapp (using your mobile phone numbers) , then on the day you all share your location for 8hrs and then we can all see where each other is. No problem if people would like to opt out for whatever reason.
The other thing I will be using is 'what3words' for locations of various meeting points throughout the day e.g where the lunchtime cafe is, end/start of green lane, etc. I'll hand these out on a map - paper copies and/or downloads.
You'll have to download the app for both of the above

Pig and Waffle, 31 Grafton Rd, Grafton Underwood, Kettering NN14 3AA

It's a 30 second ride from here on the road to Brigstock. First lot of buildings on the left once you leave Grafton Underwood, the entrance is through a gateway on the left opposite the first road/track on the right. You can't miss it.

I bet I can.
It doesn't help that the Google car ballsed up filming the Brigstock road section.

As mentioned I'm going to set up a WhatsApp group for the day and so need peoples phone numbers. No problem if you would rather not, as long as enough of the those coming are in the group it should work. I'm assuming you can PM me your phone numbers (and name) to keep things safe. I can also send out maps, what3words locations, etc to the group.
I'll also bring some paper copies on the day for the luddites.

A quick update on the plans. Total length of the ride will be around 50-60 miles, of that around 10-12 miles will be off road. We don't do massive rocks or steep hills in Northamptonshire, we mainly do bottomless mud, but as its bone dry we should be okay.
I reckon that should take from 9-10am start through to a finish mid/late afternoon depending on breakdowns, finding lost people and time spent eating lunch, etc.
I'll have start and finish points (what3words) for each of the lanes, petrol stations, lunch and and (very) approximate timings or where we might be.
