Northamptonshire bimbling 13 August 2022

Post by Jon P » Tue May 03, 2022 8:39 pm

Being as people seemed to enjoy last years event I thought I try it again this year. August is out for me and so it would either be at the end of July (30th) or some time in September. I'll make that decisions based on replies over the next few days
The itinerary would be;
Arrive at the camp site Friday afternoon/evening. Quick spin out for those keen enough.
Meet up around 10am Saturday for a tour around local lanes. There will be road route alternatives. The lanes wont be that challenging and should be dry at that time of year
Stop at greasy spoon for lunch.
Travel back to base for late afternoon
Eat, drink, talk rubbish, fall over.

Camping would be free. Secure camp site. Room for campervans. There is water and a loo on site. Shop and pub less than ten minutes drive away if needed

Whose up for it?

Thanks to everyone for the interest, unfortunately my first date of the 31st July has been nabbed by another event on the estate (they pay and so get first dabs!). I have confirmed another date of the 13th August that won't change . People are very welcome to turn up on the Friday and stay until the Sunday morning if needed. I'll post more details of the route and ask people to firm up attendance nearer the time. Numbers are not that important, but useful info for me.

Can't do 22/24 July but up for any other dates hopefully,
Do we have to check with you pair for the rest of the year?

If we start that nonsense no meetings will ever happen.

Tough if the dates clash with something else you've got planned.

I'm looking forward to it, a brilliant weekend last year?
