Laurence, to find the places to be identified, will you be posting 6 figure OS grid references?
Thatā€™s the plan, I havenā€™t set the points yet, but Iā€™m hoping to get out this weekend to start plotting.

Iā€™m going to take a photo of each location and record the grid reference.

I know Dave is a fan of his satnav, Iā€™m assuming that needs long and lat?

I'm not sure what I need Laurence but I can change the format to use whatever you choose i think,
I shall look forward to learning,

Dave.

Here we go.

This year there are 16 waypoints to find; eight are road based and accessible via tarmac and the other eight are located on byways.

A square plate can be found at each site with a five digit code stamped on it. These are nailed in place usually on a wooden post, but not exclusively. The plates are not hidden, look for an obvious location within the photo and you wonā€™t be far off the mark.

A six digit coordinate has been recorded for each site. I used an OS Landranger map when plotting the course, it might be easier if you source your own, youā€™ll want ā€˜Maidstone and Royal Tunbridge Wells 188ā€™. Feel free to use other methods of mapping.

As requested, Iā€™ve also taken a What3Words location for each waypoint.

Follow the google drive link below for a pdf file that contains all the photos, grid references and what3words. I'm hoping you guys can save it to a phone rather than print the whole thing! I'm happy to print out the 'answer' sheet for use on the day.
