Re: Northamptonshire bimbling?
I'm sure both pubs in Brigstock are showing the football. The Three Cocks has the bigger screen but you may stick to the carpet, the Green Dragon has better beer.

I'm planning on arriving about 4pm on Friday. I'll be riding there on the MT with camping kit.

Jon, in my experience, they are such a bunch of tarts at getting ready to ride, that aiming for a 10 am departure on Saturday is more realistic (and expect some slippage from that).

I've a couple of maps to share but can't find a way of attaching them to a post, I've tried JPGs, PDF's, reducing the size right down, converting them to Word with no success, can anybody help?

If you have a Dropbox or google account you can upload the file and share a link?

Here you go Phil. Some old photo reconaissance to assist.

I think Jon said the campsite is just to the north of the village (Grafton Underwood) at the bottom of the picture.
Apart from the above, Wikipedia also informed me that Paul W Tibbets (flew the B29, Enola Gay, in first ever atomic bomb attack), was based at USAAF Grafton Underwood.

The nearest post code is NN14 3AE - close but not exact.
I'll run up some paper maps of the route for those who think sat navs are the work of the Devil
- Travel north out of Grafton Underwood towards Brigstock
- Half a mile out of the village on the left hand side is an entrance. It will have 'Caravan Club' sign up. The code to the gate is 5031. No need to relock it, just pull it to. For reference on the other side of the road is another entrance with a sign saying 'Equata'
- Go through the first gate
- Go through the next wooden gate and turn right
- Follow concrete road for a couple of hundred yards.
- Turn right and right again into camping field. An area has been mown, but feel free to pitch up where you like
The field is okay for vans, etc
- If you turned right and then left that will take you into the timber yard where you will find a mobile home with water and a loo.
