TWO Jerry cans??
Are you going round the world in one go? or does she still need setting up?
I took a 2.5lt jerry can on a Pyrenees trip and never used it. The other thing you need to be aware of is if you do any green laning, the racks can easily trap your legs. Many of us still have the scars and bruises to show how we found out.

The 'jerry cans' have been cut and have hinged, lockable lids. The closest I get to green laning is crossing muddy campsites but thanks for the tip about trapped legs.

Re: MT500 Electric start conversion
I couldn't wait any longer to try out my MT after it's rebuild, so I took it for it's MOT this morning. Sailed through, all seems fine, although I'll have to move the gear change peddle around a spline or two as it's not quite in the right place.
One odd thing, after poking and prodding every corner of the bike the tester asked, 'What's this other cap in front of the fuel cap'. I said 'It's the oil filler cap, the oil's in the frame'. His reply, 'Is it a two stoke?
I'm just glad it wasn't in for a service.

Now that we've been let out I finally got out on the rebuilt Armstrong for a shake down today, Did 130km around the Dales. No problems. It was great to get out and about on a bike.
