MT560

Post by Jacked-Up » Sun Dec 15, 2019 5:30 pm

So here are some pics of my "MT560" now fitted with an MZ500 engine with new bore and piston to 555 (560cc) by Gary. Since buying from Yeti with a converted 350 to 405 head in 2018. I've also fitted Avon road tyres and the long-range tank with long-distance road trips in mind and damp roads in the winter (had the back end go out on me on a greasy road on the previously fitted tyres).

Except it's not a 560 is it? It's a 555.

I think the 560 handle has already been taken.

How come the hipster bar let you park in there, it's not a bobber?

Looking very tidy

If you're planning to ride through winter , some shields around your bark busters may come in useful.

As for touring, the gun box does look the part but its usefulness is limited

As lardmarc mentions the term MT560 is a little misleading and could be confused with the old 560 supplied ex factory, an MT555 sounds far more interesting in my view

It's actually 561.5cc this engine. I couldn't call them 560's as that s what Rotax call them. Plus I wanted all the Sportax specials to end in a 5 to distinguish them from all the others..

An MT504mil engine with the same 555 kit is actually 547.4cc.. but with an 81mm stroked crank makes 572.8cc

A 405 engine is actually 404.9cc!

Hope that helps!

As its a Minter engine and he refers them as MT555, I'll go with 555 from now on. The hipster bar used to allow any bikes in, but that end of the shop has now been turned into storage, so you can't ride in anymore unfortunatly
