Sinterklaastreffen 2018, Ostend, Belgium, 30/11/18 - 2/12/18

Sinterklaastreffen 2018 (first weekend in December, Ostend, Belgium).

A really good Continental Winter Rally.

From this day to the ending of the world,
But we in it shall be remember'd;
We few, we happy few, we band of brothers;
For he to-day that rides to foreign field with me and Deadgrass,
Shall be my brother; be he ne'er so vile,
This day shall gentle his condition: (even Lardmarc)
And gentlemen in England now a-bed
Shall think themselves accursed they were not here,
And hold their manhoods cheap whiles any speaks
That rode with us to Sinterklaastreffen 2018.

Can I take my campervan? It maybe a little on the cold side to sleep in a tent for my old bones. I'll even leave a glass of Sherry and a Mice pie out for the old boy!

Still time to jump in on this one.

It's very easy to get to. Just make it to Dover/Folkestone for the ferry/tunnel. Disembark at Calais then turn left down the coast motorway for 70 miles.

Dave (deadgrass) and I are using the tunnel; 1220 train on Friday, 1220 train on Sunday. The cost is ÂŁ79.00 return. Rally entry for the weekend is only 15 euros, pay on arrival, no need to pre-book.

Ostend is a very charming town nowadays and this is a very civilised, well organised and long established rally.
