Sounds like a great idea Steve. I have been trying to get Gary to share his special powers for years but likes to keep them secret so he looks better than us. We must be getting closer to him as he needs a KTM to stay ahead now. ;) The only skill I could offer is how to do get you home repairs.

LoL! KTM is the only thing in one piece and legal at the moment! too busy fixing everyone else's motors/bike! Not complaining tho!!

The MT555 will be back for next year tho faster and tricker than ever so don't worry Phil!

I would love to attend this and pick up a few pointers from the Ace, Minter.
That is if my MT 350 is sorted by then having recently completed in the Army Championships on her where she never missed a beat.
Any of the dates suit me.

Mark me down as interested. My MT350 is my first off road bike (that Italjet I had as a kid didn't count because it never went!) so I'm greener than the bike when it comes to proper off roading. The only "interesting" riding I've done was on a GN125 in the snow during that bad winter at the end of 2010.
The location isn't too far out for me, about 170 miles across country avoiding motorways. I wasn't sure at first as the date may have clashed with another event I was planning to attend but, it looks like that may be getting relocated to the New Forest and there's no way in hell I'm going that far south to camp for a week straight from the Dragon.
Is anyone else thinking of camping or is it bunkhouse for all? Would a small fire (off the ground) be permitted if I camp?

I don't know if they would allow a fire. There is a fire pit. Why would you need one? Cooking and keeping warm can be done in the bunkhouse. I think we'd have to ask when we get there.

Some people are saying this date is too close to the Dragon. i didn't want to clash with Northampton which is usually the first weekend of March. The big meet is usually late April so maybe we should go for later in March? You tell me. There's no point arranging something if nobody can make it.

I know later would suit Mick and others from speaking to them. There seems to be a fair bit going off in February and there are marriages to be maintained ;-)
As for a fire, that's because I'm a loonie who likes to camp regardless of season and a tight arse attracted by the £5 for a tent fee. If I didn't know better I'd say I was part Yorkshireman.

I'm happy whenever it is- I will probably try and do the Northhans meet as well as it is local to me.

I'm definitely interested in this, as some of the others have said the off roading is quite new to me so I would appreciate the time and efforts of others to pass on their knowledge and skills. Also would be interstellar in the idea of setting up for off road riding and the "get you home" repairs.... may as well pack as much as we can in to it !
