Registered Ready to go

Hi all, finally got my Reg back Saturday, happy days, had lovely ride out yesterday. Runs like a dream, going to have to make a few mod's, so open to suggestions.

Any advise on lowering, other that the seat, as I've already done that. I've seen mention of shorter rear shocks, but have not seen any mention of which ones. The front break is pretty poor as well, going to take the cover off tonight, but looks like the pads are not contacting with the hole disc, there's about an inch that has not been worn down, is this normal? I think I'll have to extend the rear brake pedal as well as that is very small.

I lowered mine 40mm, raised the stanchions 40mm in the yokes and got 40mm shorter rear shocks from Hagon (also ordered 50lbs lighter springs). I shortened the side stand and added a peg so I can flip it down while sitting on the bike.

where abouts in Kent are you?
i have a set of the shorter 400mm TEC shocks that you can try for size, or else the Paioli shocks are the same as the 500. Same as sparky, I have dropped 25mm through the yokes, and shortened the side stand. If you are really short, I dropped an expensive clanger, and ordered a 370mm set from Hagon.....

Use the Search facility on the word 'lowering' and you will see different ways people have used to make life easier
Front fork sliding through yokes, shorter rear shocks , sculpting seat One rider is 5ft 3 1/2 and has made adjustments to suit him

Calipers, pads and pins can need a good clean to ensure that pads move freely Splitting the caliper is easy enough but some owners have cleaned in situ If you decide to split, leave them bolted onto the bike to turn the allen screws, they can be a little stubborn needing some heat to soften loctite

You can buy both caliper and master cylinder re-furb kits if necessary Some have fitted braided hoses

Sparky, thanks for the reply, will have to look at the Hagon shocks, hadn't thought about the stand, noted.

Jooles, I'm in Aylesford, I'd be very interested in offering them up to be sure. Thanks

Wirralman, I think I used every different way of describing shocks, didn't even think of using lowering. Will have a look at the caliper tonight. I'm 5,6" but my legs are short and fat.

Welcome! Front brake on the 350 is as good as most modern bikes when operating correctly - don't accept it as being "a bit crap" cos its an old MT. Mine will fire you over the bars with 2 finger pull... good luck ;-)
